Dr. Wevill is a senior lecturer in Ecology and Environmental Science at Deakin University and has been conducting ecology research in the Anglesea heathland for the last 5 years.

Dr. Wevill and some of her research team will speak to us about their studies investigative how repeated planned burning impacts floristic patterns in the heathland. The research has explored interactions between time since fire and fire frequency on functional and lifeforms diversity, on fungal and plant diversity and on soild seed-banks and seedling recruitment after winter fires.
