We had a pleasant walk through the two reserves.

Highlights were a Grey Butcherbird flying actively through Edna Bowman reserve, and a flock of Yellow-tailed Black cockatoos in high trees on the edge of Kuarka Dorla.

A resident with a property beside the second reserve, and facing the river, told us of a family of Buff-banded Rails living in his garden.

We also had a close look at the  abundant spring flowers. After the leisurely walk we enjoyed morning tea in the sun on the banks of the Anglesea river and were rewarded by a close view of a Spotted Pardalote, and the sight of several ducks in the water.
