ANGAIR finally has permission to establish the propagation shed and hothouse in the Anglesea community precinct following a favourable outcome from a recent VCAT hearing.

The site is behind the Memorial Hall and quite close to the ANGAIR office. As part of the plan the area will be fenced and landscaped.

The Surf Coast Shire (SCS) is in the process of adopting a rabbit control policy and in the interim, is trialling ranking procedures to deal with rabbit infestations. ANGAIR and Great Ocean Road Coast Committee (GORCC) representatives met with SCS staff to discuss hotspots in the Anglesea and Aireys Inlet area that require rabbit control. These include cliff top heathland areas in both towns and the Point Roadknight dunes at Anglesea. In addition we noted hot spots on several rural roads. The Shire will be undertaking control work based on their ranking system.
