The Painkalac Creek Estuary Watch team needs new members to sample and investigate creek water at one of the four testing sites in Aireys Inlet.
On the second weekend of each month, we collect samples at different depths and test them for oxygen, salinity, electrical conductivity, pH and turbidity using a special meter. This usually takes less than an hour, and needs no special scientific experience. The results are sent to the Corangamite CCMA Estuary Watch database.
Matt Khoury, the Coordinator, will give training in the methods used. If you’d like to help, and/or need more details, please contact Matt at 5224 9402, or email him at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
