ANGAIR has received a generous bequest from the Estate of Peter Godfrey.
For many years, Peter was an enthusiastic member of the ANGAIR sub-group Friends of the Aireys Inlet Coastal Reserve, and spent much of his spare time at Aireys attacking the environmental weeds in the area. He especially targeted Polygala at a site the Friends now refer to as ‘Peter’s Polygala Corner’. A small working group has been convened to consider an appropriate way to recognise Peter's generosity and his commitment to the local environment.
The Anglesea Community Precinct, in McMillan St will be hosting an Open Day on Sunday 22 March from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. The ANGAIR Natural History Centre will be part of this Open Day, and there will be information and displays relating to ANGAIR's activities including plant sales, children’s and microscope activities. The Library will also be open. The ANGAIR Committee would be delighted if members took this opportunity to visit.
